Susana makes learning Portuguese a remarkable experience. Her lessons are very effective and fun at the same time. Her love for Portugal and the interest in the different cultures make the lessons often jump to interesting conversations that broaden the language knowledge & strengthen the confidence of the students. My family and I participated in the six-month-long online Portuguese course provided by Mrs. Susana Castro, known as Já Esta. The course proved to be highly beneficial and enriching. In November 2023, we undertook the CIPLE examination, and with the invaluable support and guidance from Mrs. Castro, we were able to perform well.

Before learning about this platform, I tried learning Portuguese with just a book, a dictionary, and by listening Portuguese radio stations. Neither of these approaches was even close to the effect of emersion that I felt when using “Já Está”. Each week brought a new area of focus and provided me with theoretical part where the teacher introduced the topic.

If you are looking for an online course that you can do flexibly on your own schedule that will prepare you for the CIPLE exam, we recommend Já Está (from Learn Portuguese with Susana). It requires about an hour a day for 6 months. Susana is a kind and competent teacher who developed this course to prepare students for CIPLE. We also took her conversation class. After buying and evaluating a few other classes before we landed with Susana, we wish we had started with her class! We both passed the exam in February - Já Está!
